Tom Cousineau
Tom Cousineau - who began his career in France and has held visiting positions in various French universities over the years - is Professor of English at Washington College in Maryland (USA). The author of books on Samuel Beckett, Thomas Bernhard, and modernist fiction, he translated and edited "Beckett in France", a special issue of the Journal of Beckett Studies, and also served as co-director of the "Présence de Samuel Beckett" conference that was held at Cerisy-la-Salle in the summer of 2005. After retiring as editor of the newsletter of the Samuel Beckett Society, he began writing a book, commissioned by the Dalkey Archive Press, on Fernando Pessoa's The book of Disquiet.
