Born on 5th November, 1954 in Basel, Véra Michalski is a franco-swiss-polish publisher. 

The publishing house Noir sur Blanc was born in 1986 in Montricher, Switzerland, a joint initiative of Véra and Jan Michalski. The idea was to welcome before all writers coming from the Slavic countries and focus on literature (novels, novellas, theatre, poetry), but also essays, documents, testimonies, journals and memoirs translating the important moments in the history of countires such as Poland or Russia.
