Born in 1974 in Bonn, GErmany. Her first book, Adler und Engel(Eagles and Angels) won the 2002 Deutscher Bücherpreis for the best debut novel. She travelled through Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2001, which became the basis of the book Die Stille ist ein Geräush (Silence is noise, 2002). Juli Zeh has lived in Leipzig since 1995 where she studied human rights law. Her last book Corpus delicti. Ein Prozess (Corpus delicti, a process) came out in 2009.
