Born in 1959 in Copenhagen, Danemark. Since 1985, he has written short stories, essays, theatre pieces and a dozen of novels among them: Tavshed i oktober ( Silence in October, 1996), and Piazza Bucarest, 2004. His books are translated in several countries. He is considered one of the most important Danish contemporary writer.
